Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a game for the Wii. It is the fourth 3D Mario platformer, after Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy. It is really similar to its prequel, Super Mario Galaxy. It was not as well received as its prequel because it's really similar, but it was still pretty popular. The Bee Mushroom and Fire Flower return in it. There are also new power ups, like Yoshi, the Cloud Flower, and the Rock Mushroom. In every country besides North America, the game comes with a disc that teaches players the controls. It was the first Wii game to be re-released on the Wii U's Virtual Console. Their is a little more story than most Mario games. It has the same plot as Super Mario Galaxy. Rosalina, Yoshi, and Luigi are unlockable characters. After playing each level, players can unlock Green Stars, and after completing them, they can get The Perfect Run. The Perfect Run is sometimes considered one of the hardest video game levels in existence. After completing that, players unlock Rosalina and get a congratulations letter from Nintendo with a picture of every Star and Green Star in the game.
