The Mystery Mushroom is a powerup in the Super Mario series. It first appeared in Super Mario Maker. It lets Mario turn into a random video game character. It is similar to the Mushroom. There are around a hundred characters that he can turn into, including some that were not made by Nintendo, a Mercedes Benz GLA, Shinya Arino, Necky (Famitsu's mascot) and an Excitebike bike.
