Mario Kart 64 is a game for the N64 made in Japan in 1996 and worldwide in 1997. It's the second game in the Mario Kart (series). Unlike in this game's preceder and successor, players have limitless times if they get 5th or under to redo a race. The game was commercially successful and got a player's choice edition, as the 2nd best selling game on the N64, with only Super Mario 64 ranking better.
