The Lightning Cup is the last and hardest retro cup. It consists of the tracks SNES Mario Circuit 3, DS Peach Gardens, GCN DK Mountain, and N64 Bowser's Castle. It can be unlocked by completing the Leaf Cup in Grand Prix mode with any CC. It is the last retro cup to be unlocked.
Background
This cup contains just tracks from previous systems, just like the other retro tracks. These come from the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Nintendo DS, Nintendo GameCube, and the Nintendo 64.
