The Coin Box is a power up in the Super Mario series. It first appeared in Super Mario 3D Land. They are similar to the Propeller Box. They let Mario collect coins whenever he moves. If Mario reaches the Goal Pole while still wearing the Coin Box, he will get an extra life.
